Edinburgh International Magazine Festival / Magfest 2019
16 – 22 September 2019
Magfest has got the most heart of any industry conference, and this year it’s at the centre of a week-long festival in Edinburgh celebrating magazines through talks, workshops, concerts, podcast recordings and more. The Edinburgh International Magazine Festival is on all week with numerous events for both industry professionals and the public, and Magfest is closing the week on Friday with the theme of ‘Game Changers’.

FIPP’s regular Insider events should be on the radar of every publishing professional. This half-day Insider in Paris brings together speakers from the local region and from across the globe, discussing top media trends, innovations in data journalism, and more. World Publishing Expo
8 – 9 October 2019
WAN-IFRA’s annual conference and expo is taking place in Berlin in October, where the global publishing community comes together to focus on how to produce, distribute and monetise content. The IFRA World Publishing Expo is running alongside the DCX Digital Content Expo, so whether you’re looking to hear about inspiring print strategies or the latest in publishing technology, there’s something for everyone here.
Digiday Publishing Summit Europe
Industry-leading analyst site Digiday is holding their European Publishing Summit in Hungary this year, and it’s sure to have a sterling attendee list of the best and brightest in publishing. This year’s event will focus on how publisher’s are keeping on top of an ever-increasing list of monetisation strategies, how alliances are working out, and new ways to drive subscription revenue.
23 – 25 October 2019
This conference brings people together from all over the media world, from TV and streaming to journalism, audio, radio, policy and publishing. It aims to bring professionals together at the convergence of media and technology, to initiate and support business initiatives and networking. Alongside the conference, there are also masterclasses on blockchain, advertising, marketing, journalism and more.
AOP Digital Publishing Summit

The Association of Online Publishers’ summit returns this year, bringing together the leadership teams of online publishers to focus on the opportunities and challenges of the ever-evolving landscape. 5 – 6 November 2019
