Fabrik, the all-in-one publishing solution combining a CMS with ad tech allowing publishers to run their entire operation on one single platform, has partnered with the Black Owned Media Equity and Sustainability Institute (BOMESI).
The partnership will see Fabrik’s technology provided at a reduced rate for publishers who are a part of BOMESI, with publishers Her Agenda and BleuLife Media the first to integrate Fabrik technology as part of the initiative.
Powered by Kargo, the mobile-first advertising marketplace, Fabrik was launched last year with Radar, OK! and Distractify being some of the first publishers to use the technology. The platform was created in response to what Kargo’s Founder and CEO Harry Kargman considered to be a key problem affecting publishers’ performance, saying at the time of launch that many websites have “too much weight” and load far too slowly driving readers away and affecting Google search rankings.
Rhonesha Byng, Founder and CEO of Her Agenda and co-founder of BOMESI, says, “With Fabrik, we can amplify the voices of our members and bring them more revenue. Fabrik serves as an access point for advertisers to work directly with Black-owned media companies, and reach a diverse audience.”
Many of our publishers do not have the technology to tap into the full spectrum of advertising demand. Fabrik is a hosted solution with access to ad tech built right in, helping connect our members to more buyers.Rhonesha Byng, Founder and CEO, Her Agenda
Since joining the platform, Her Agenda has seen a dramatic increase in viewability as well as ad CTRs, with Michael Shaughnessy, General Manager of Fabrik, commenting, “Fabrik is a springboard for BOMESI members to significantly increase their access to advertiser demand and level the playing field for Black-owned media. Fabrik can deliver higher revenue and more visibility, supporting Black-owned editorial teams and their message.”
