New subscribers will have access to The Washington Post’s world-class reporting and put their wellness goals into practice with Headspace’s science-backed mindfulness and meditation content that offers a range of tools for managing stress, increasing positivity and compassion, improving sleep, finding focus and so much more.
In 40 published studies in some of the leading peer-reviewed journals in the mindfulness field, Headspace has been shown to have favorable results on outcomes such as:
- Stress: 10 days of Headspace resulted in 11% decrease in stress, 30 days resulted in 32% decrease in stress
- Focus: Headspace improved focus by 14%
- Compassion: 3 weeks of Headspace increased compassion by 21%
- Burnout: 4 sessions of Headspace reduced burnout by 14%
Through the partnership and collaboration, members will have access to new expert guidance videos featuring Washington Post Reporter Amanda Morris as part of Headspace’s “The Wake Up,” a daily video show to help members build a mindful morning routine by prompting them to take a step back from hustle culture.

The partnership highlights The Post’s rapid growth in covering wellness particularly with the launch of its Well+Being section in September 2022. Rooted in actionable, science-based journalism, Well+Being aims to lead a daily conversation on essential health topics that readers are thinking about every day, including mental health, food, fitness, emotional wellbeing, disability and internet health culture.
What does it cost?
New subscribers will have the option to pay just $70 for the first year, which includes an All-Access Digital subscription to The Washington Post (regular subscription price $120 a year) and a separate 12-month subscription to Headspace (regular subscription price $69.99 a year).
The annual bundled subscription provides the most value for new subscribers with a savings of more than 60% or $120 off the combined regular subscription prices of both services for the first year. New subscribers can also opt for a month-to-month Washington Post subscription with a cost of $4 every 4 weeks for the first year and get 30 days access to Headspace for free.
