Billed as ‘South Asia’s largest gathering of news publishers’, this conference from WAN-IFRA will be themed around driving revenue and excellence in challenging times. There’s a print summit and advertising summit which run parallel to each other, looking at business transformation, operational excellence, and more.

If you’re looking to learn about the potential of programmatic, this ‘punchy’ event is a good place to get started. It’s structured around speaker presentations and panels from well-known brands and publishers, from Spotify to the South China Morning Post, exploring transparency, fraud, ad-blocking and more.
Digital Journalism World Summit 2019
7 – 8 October 2019
As you might expect, the Digital Journalism World Summit is focused on the digital trends shaping the future of journalism, and the cutting-edge technology and tools that will get us there. It’s bringing together top news industry professionals to discuss storytelling in the digital space, the opportunities and hurdles of new technology, and how these can be practically incorporated by journalists.

WAN-IFRA’s Digital Media Asia conference is exploring everything from digital subscriptions and subscriber retention to data for personalisation, blockchain, and the growth of ad alliances. With a mix of masterclasses, keynotes and a technology and services expo, there are sure to be plenty of takeaways for digital publishers at both an editorial and strategic level.

Mumbrella360 Asia has a bigger emphasis on marketing than some of our other event choices, but there’s still plenty publishers can learn if they’re looking to get ahead in the digital space. With sessions on e-gaming, explaining TikTok, and growing revenue streams in publishing, publishing professionals will certainly be able to find some inspiration from media brands at the top of their game.
