Media 10’s Good Homes Magazine launches Interior Design course

Good Homes magazine, the award-winning monthly, is launching a brand new interior design course, in association with My Interior Design School. The eight-module online course, distributed in a 12 month period, is arranged into functional and easy-to-follow sections, with step-by-step guides and top tips.

From initial design ideas and learning about the main elements of colour, pattern and texture, to how to use lighting, drawing to scale and creating stylish moodboards, this in-depth course offers the Good Homes readers the chance to realise their dreams of becoming interior designers.

Acquired by Media 10 in 2014, Good Homes has since enjoyed an impressive year-on-year growth and is now Britain’s fastest growing homes magazine.

The partnership with My Interior Design School sees perfect alignment of two brands coming together to help the Good Homes readers further engage with the brand’s content and drive greater brand awareness for the My Interior Design School courses.

Anne Wall Course Director of My Interior Design School states: “We are delighted to be working with Good Homes magazine. Their readers are obviously passionate about interiors and discerning in their home-styling choices. We look forward to helping them unlock their creativity.”

My Interior Design School’s Design Director, Rachael Kilby-Tyre (RegID MBIID) adds: “The Course is designed to give students the first taste of working and designing for clients – meeting a brief, learning to draw to scale, creating elevations and scheme boards. So the Good Homes Interior Design Course could be their first step to becoming an interior designer.”

Timed to coincide with the launch of the Good Homes Complete Guide to Interior Design bookazine, on sale now, this is their first brand extension outside of its print and digital platforms.

Karen Walker, Editor Good Homes has said: “We are really excited about working with the My Interior Design School courses and the opportunity of taking the Good Homes brand outside of its traditional print and digital platforms. Our readers are budding interior designers, so the development of this course, allows them to connect with our content in a way that helps them realise their dreams beyond that of the home-styler.”
