Collingwood Advisory, one of the world’s leading growth consultancies for publishers and media companies, has opened up its renowned Crescent program for new members joining in Summer 2022.
Open to publishers worldwide in English-speaking markets, Crescent is a scaleup program designed to help founders and CEOs of smaller and early-stage media companies break through the £3m/$4m revenue ceiling and scale-up. The program combines one-to-one advice and structured work on members’ business plans from highly experienced publishing professionals and leaders, as well as group workshops with specialists in product development, sales, marketing and corporate finance.
Applications are now open through April and May 2022, with all applicants receiving a Value Creation Report at no cost. The diagnostic includes a Scaleup Scorecard which tells Founders where their company is at in terms of its maturity and ability to scale. It also includes the company persona and associated strengths and challenges. Successful applicants revisit the Value Creation Report diagnostic at the end of the 12 month program to review their progression and growth.
The problem for owners of smaller and earlier stage companies is that they are working so hard in their businesses, and juggling so many roles, that it’s hard to take time out to focus on scaling up in a sustainable and value-creating way.Piers Bearne, Founder & CEO of Collingwood Advisory
One publisher participant from an earlier intake, speaking on condition of anonymity, told WNIP that whilst the program involved serious commitment and ‘intensity’, the end results were worth the serious effort, saying, “We underestimated the focus needed, but the program has helped us look at our business afresh and see clearly the steps we need to put in place moving forwards”.
Often we see Founders leaving money or market share on the table because of all the opportunities in front of them. For us, seeing how effective Crescent has been at turning the dial on growth and value for members is incredibly rewarding.Piers Bearne, Founder & CEO of Collingwood Advisory
